Boulder County Housing Department is seeking to hire a Resident Services Support Specialist. This position provides one-on-one assistance to individuals and families within the Boulder County Housing Authority’s (BCHA) housing portfolio of over 1,000 affordable apartments and 1,000+ voucher holders. It develops and implements specific programming to support residents. Responsibilities include helping clients identify goals, access resources, apply for financial assistance and benefits, advocate for residents, and resolve barriers.
Candidates should have experience working with marginalized households facing high social barriers, and be culturally sensitive and empathetic. An ideal candidate understands Boulder County’s workings, policies, and culture.
This is a full-time, benefited position working Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm, remote. It is classified as exempt under FLSA guidelines.
Boulder County requires employees to reside in Colorado as of the first day of work.
Salary Range: $62,520 - $76,284 annually.

- Partner with Boulder County Housing Authority staff to support residents and voucher holders.
- Collaborate with departmental and external programs.
- Support residents in maintaining housing and resiliency.
- Maintain current community resource connections.
- Develop and conduct programming for specific populations and sites.
- Participate in trainings and meetings.
- Perform related duties and reassign during emergencies.

Education & Experience: Minimum of 6 years combined education and experience in social services, case management, counseling, mental health, or related fields. Additional relevant education may count towards experience.
Driver's License & Vehicle: Must have a valid license, reliable transportation, and a clean driving record.
Background Check: Must pass a background investigation before employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual in English and Spanish with additional compensation.
- Bachelor's degree in social services or related field.
- Knowledge of local human services, assessment, referral, and community programming.
- Experience with supportive housing, high acuity populations, mental health crises, and mental health systems.
- Experience developing programming for at-risk populations.
Skills and Abilities:
- Case management, communication, interpersonal, leadership, and resource connection skills.
- Cultural sensitivity and understanding of racial equity.
