We are looking for a Boxing Instructor!

Colorado Athletic Club is Denver’s leading upscale athletic, aquatics, tennis and family fitness club with 4 convenient locations across Colorado’s Front Range. Our Boxing Instructors are committed to helping individuals reach their health and fitness goals. They specialize in the design and implementation of individualized programs. Our fitness professionals are skilled in the safe and proper technique in boxing, and equipment. Our Boxing Instructors are energetic, provide exceptional customer service, and enjoy finding creative ways to keep clients motivated while assisting them in overcoming obstacles.

Our Instructors will provide a welcoming, and a positive member experience that is educational, supportive and rewarding.

• Teach proper boxing technique from the ground up: stance, guard, footwork, jab, cross, hooks, uppercuts, head movement, defensive responsibility, combination punching, and ring generalship.
• Supervise and coach controlled sparring sessions (when clients are ready), enforce safety rules, match partners appropriately, and provide real-time feedback.
• Lead strength & conditioning portions using body weight, kettle bells, sleds, battle ropes, medicine balls, and functional tools specific to boxing performance.
• Demonstrate and correct technique with high energy while maintaining safety for all fitness levels and ages.
• Check and maintain equipment daily (clean gloves, wraps, bags, floor, mirrors).
• Check in with members before/after class.
• Lead mitt work, heavy bag circuits, strength & conditioning, and sparring supervision (when appropriate).
• Create and lead exercise sessions, catering to one or more designated fitness areas, fostering a motivating and supportive atmosphere.
• Responsible for the setup, monitoring, and maintenance of exercise equipment, ensuring it remains in optimal and serviceable condition.
• Adapt workout routines to accommodate various fitness levels, offering a challenging yet safe and effective workout experience.
• Address participants' inquiries and concerns, providing assistance and support related to the workout routine or equipment.

• You have the ability to recognized competency in the field of instructional expertise.
• You have a certification dependent on the instructional specialty (AFAA, ACE, NETA, NASM, etc.). Boxing/Kickboxing certification required.
• You have strong interpersonal and communication abilities, effectively collaborating with diverse communities.
• You have the ability to maintain accurate records and handle routine administrative tasks.
• You have a familiarity with specialized fitness training and educational methods.
• You have the ability of understanding of exercise principles, technology, and their application.
• You have the knowledge of maintaining and operating fitness equipment and facilities.
• You have the capability to comprehend, follow, and enforces safety protocols.
• You have experience instructing Boxing and functional fitness classes.
• You are CPR and AED Certified.

Compensation: $26.00 – $51.25 per hour. Based on qualifications, experience and production.
