Automotive Mechanic

Mavis Tire is looking for full‑time Automotive Mechanics to join our team at one of our state‑of‑the‑art service, repair, and tire sales centers in the Hillsborough Township, NJ area. With over 2,000 retail locations, Mavis is one of the largest tire sales and automotive repair chains in the United States.

As a member of the Mavis team, you will inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide variety of under‑car repairs, including brakes, struts, and shocks. You will also complete state‑mandated inspections, change oil and filters, check fluids, replace worn parts, and dismount, mount, rotate, and balance tires.

• Are at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Have 2 years of experience and/or training in automotive repair and maintenance, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Possess an extensive personal tool box for under‑car repairs.
• Preferred:
  State inspection license(s) and ASE certifications in Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair (G1), Suspension and Steering (A4), and Brakes (A5).

Physical requirements:

stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, reach, and perform repeated and repetitive movements consistent with vehicle maintenance and repair. Must regularly lift or move items weighing over 50 pounds.
