Responsibilities
Greet, engage, and assist customers actively and visibly.Process customer transactions efficiently and accurately at the check lane.Handle various tenders such as Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, Rain checks, coupons, and loyalty offers according to company policy.Adhere to company limits on cash shortages and overages, working honestly to control loss.Follow guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).Report pricing discrepancies and follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.Stay current with advertisements and promotions.Comply with food safety regulations and safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions.Inspect equipment regularly, reporting repairs needed.Create a welcoming environment, answering questions about products.Follow all relevant laws and company policies.Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.Manage conflicts professionally and act with honesty and integrity.Follow directions and seek assistance when needed.Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.Qualifications
Customer service experience.Effective communication skills.Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction).Desired Previous Job Experience
