Key Responsibilities- Assist in the implementation of treatment plans developed by the physical therapist to achieve patients' rehabilitation goals and functional needs.
- Lead patients through prescribed exercises and therapeutic activities to enhance their physical function and promote recovery. Instruct patients on proper exercise techniques, monitor progress, and provide feedback to ensure safe and effective participation.
- Ensure the proper application of various treatment modalities, monitor patient responses, and adjust treatment parameters as necessary to optimize therapeutic outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families on injury prevention strategies, proper body mechanics, and techniques for managing pain and discomfort.
- Monitor patients' responses to treatment interventions, document progress and any changes in functional status or treatment tolerance, and communicate regularly with the supervising physical therapist to update the treatment plan.
- Degree in an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
