Located in beautiful Salt Lake City and set against the backdrop of the snow-covered Wasatch Mountains, we are located within minutes of 7 world-class ski resorts. Experience 4 seasons, hiking, biking, and several National Parks. The Radiation Oncology department has a tradition of academic and clinical excellence and occupies a spacious 30,000 square feet on the ground floor of the beautiful Huntsman Cancer Hospital on the University of Utah Salt Lake campus.

The successful candidate will possess strong proton planning skills and a passion for delivering high quality, state of the art treatments while being supported with a team of 14 faculty Radiation oncologists, 15 Nurses, 12 Dosimetrists & 15 Medical Physicists along with over 30 Radiation Therapists.

$4,000 SIGN ON BONUS OFFERED! The program provides a signing bonus for newly hired external candidates at a 0.50 FTE or greater.

We are thrilled to share the entry level salary is $127,191 annually. We calculate compensation based on years of service.

This position ensures precise and accurate treatment plans, dosage calculations and dosimetry considerations for patients undergoing radiation therapy. This position provides direct patient care and may be required to access and administer medications within their scope of practice and according to state law.

• Designs treatment plans by means of computer and/or manual computation with optimal beam geometry to deliver a prescribed radiation dose and spare critical structures in accordance with the Radiation Oncologist’s prescription.
• Identifies and contours normal and dose-limiting structures by utilizing images from one or more data sets. Assumes proficiency in image registration with various image data sets to include CT, MRI and PET.
