Water operator

We are seeking a Secondary Water Maintenance Operator to join our team at Bountiful Irrigation. In this role, you will be responsible for performing duties related to the operations and maintenance of the District’s water distribution system. • Assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of the secondary water system.
• Operate and perform routine maintenance on assigned equipment and vehicles.
• Use hand and small power tools to assist the service crew in repairing and replacing leaking water service lines, main lines, valves, meters, and other water system components.
• Perform heavy labor when required, including lifting, shoveling by hand, and operating a compactor, street saw, or other tools depending on job completion needs.
• Participate in the On‑Call rotation during the active water season.
• Perform other duties as required and assigned.

• Possession of a valid Utah Driver’s License.
• Currently possess or willingness to obtain a Class “A” CDL endorsement within one year of employment.
• Must live within 15 minutes of the district’s office or willing to relocate within one year.
• Basic computer operation skills.
• Ability to work well with and relate to co‑workers, supervisors, and the general public.
• Willingness and ability to perform field labor under varying climatic conditions.
