Certified Nursing Assistant

Join Riverside Healthcare as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide compassionate, person-centered care in our Assisted Living and Memory Care team.

• Assist residents with daily activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting) and provide oral, skin, and hair care.
• Support residents with mobility and transfers (e.g., bed to wheelchair).
• Provide specialized care for residents with memory impairments, using techniques to reduce agitation.
• Monitor and report changes in eating habits, appetite, and provide meal assistance.
• Observe, record, and report vital signs and health status changes to nursing staff.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment, including light housekeeping tasks.
• Accurately document all care provided and maintain confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines.
• Engage residents in companionship and meaningful activities, supporting emotional wellbeing.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team, participate in care planning meetings.
• Adhere to regulatory requirements and infection control, mentor less experienced staff, and complete ongoing training.
• Perform nonessential duties such as assisting with outings, administrative support, and professional development as needed.

• Compassionate and dedicated approach to elder care.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical stamina to assist with transfers and physical tasks.
• Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude toward working with elderly residents, especially those with memory impairments.
• Basic proficiency using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

• Active CNA certification in Illinois.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

• Salary: $18.83 – $23.00 per hour.
