Summary

Under the direct supervision of the physician, safely performs a range of clinical duties and provides support to the physician in the practice. This part‑time registered nurse position is intended to assist a board‑certified surgeon and mid‑level providers in a clinic that requires travel between the Bourbonnais and Frankfort locations.

Responsibilities
  • Participate and assist the physician in the provision of medical care, including: taking the patient’s history, assessing the patient, and assisting with examinations, treatments, injections, infusion therapy, etc.
  • Prepare equipment and other medical devices, as needed.
  • Perform ancillary functions such as gathering and managing necessary documents (e.g. medical record, test results); coordinating physician’s phone calls; modifying or coordinating schedules; facilitating or completing paperwork; acting as liaison between physician and patient.
  • Assist in stocking clinical supplies, ensure proper operation of equipment and medical devices, and follow up as needed to obtain or repair equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness of patient care areas.
  • Educate patients and assist in the education of patients regarding their condition, physician orders, treatment plans, etc.
  • Participate in the Safety Program through education and implementation of practices to facilitate a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Complete other duties and assignments as directed by the physician and practice administrator.
Requirements
  • Must be licensed in Illinois as a Registered Nurse.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in nursing, preferably in a physician office setting.
  • Communicates effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Must be physically able to assist patients during ambulation and examination.

Base salary offers for this position may vary based on factors such as location, skills and relevant experience. Salary

$59–$85K/year based on skills/experience.
