Perform tasks involving physical labor at Kankakee warehouse under direct supervision of Site Manager. Provides support to warehouse efforts on general shop labor and maintenance tasks.

• Troubleshoot, perform maintenance, and repairs to welding machines, power panels, transformers, electric fans, power cords & electrical systems.
• Assemble, repair, troubleshoot and test proprietary submerged arc automated welding machines & submerged arc welding equipment.
• Assemble, repair, troubleshoot & test proprietary automated FCAW welding machines/equipment.
• Install & repair electrical wiring systems, conduit, & fixtures in building & in sea containers.
• Ability to test electrical systems to ensure proper installation & operation.
• Knowledgeable in the procedures and safety measures in area(s) of specialty.
• Ability to read drawings & electrical wiring diagrams.
• Ability to use hand tools & power tools.
• Proficiency in the use of test meters & other diagnostic equipment.
• Knowledge & familiarity of National Electric Code & requirements.
• Keeps shop equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance.
• Observes functioning of installed equipment or system to determine hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.
• Disassembles and repairs defective equipment or systems.
• Load, transport and unload material, tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Operate lift trucks & overhead cranes.
• Maintains tools and equipment.
• Be able to distinguish colors.
• Complete work orders to document repairs to equipment.
• Knowledge of certain procedures such as LOTO, etc. Responsible for observing and complying with all safety and project rules. Performs other duties as required.

• High School diploma or equivalent, valid driver’s license with driving record within company established parameters, 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, ability to pass pre‑employment physical and drug screen.
• Ability to work in an outdoor environment occasionally.
• Minimum 2-5 years of experience.
