Bulk Fuel Delivery – Class A CDL

Status: Non-Exempt

Salary / Pay Range: $23.00-$26.00 per hour

Purpose and Summary Statement: Operates semi-tractors, tankers, and multi-axle configuration trucks for delivery and/or pick-up of bulk fuel and other energy products. Follows specified time schedules to/from company and customer locations, ensuring safe and timely transportation to achieve profitable business growth.

Essential Job Functions
  • Operates all assigned vehicles, including single, tandem, or multi-axle configurations, tankers, forklifts, and related equipment in accordance with established safety standards and proper vehicle operation techniques.
  • Performs and records daily safety checks of assigned vehicle(s) and associated equipment by conducting pre-trip inspections (fuel and oil levels, tires, lights, brakes, etc.). Follows preventative maintenance program and maintains a clean truck to present a professional appearance.
  • Loads and unloads containers, pallets, and bulk fuel products safely, by hand or with equipment. Ensures loads are evenly balanced, distributed properly, and compliant with DOT regulations.
  • Follows all DOT regulations as required.
  • Ensures that all deliveries and pickups are made according to schedule and performs duties in a manner that promotes superior customer service and professionalism.
  • Ensures all associated documentation (bill of lading, delivery slips, invoices) is completed accurately and returned daily to ensure timely receiving and payment of invoices.
  • Completes necessary paperwork, including accurate logbooks, cargo records, and other assigned record-keeping duties on a daily basis.
Other Job Functions
  • Maintains company equipment according to standards, adheres to company Uniform Policy, and projects a professional image.
  • Willing to perform various operational duties during slower periods.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
Requirements

Normally requires a high school diploma or the equivalent thereof, and 2 years or more of related work experience to demonstrate knowledge of and the ability to safely operate tractor trailer, tender truck, and dump trailer equipment and to meet company and DOT standards.

Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.
