SEN Teacher (Complex Needs / Specialist Provision)

Location: Bourne, Lincolnshire

Pay: £150–£210 per day (DOE / depending on experience & setting)

Duration: Full‑time | Long‑term | Temp-to-Perm opportunities

Start: ASAP / September Starts Available

Luma Education Recruitment are seeking a passionate and resilient SEN Teacher to work within a specialist or inclusive setting supporting pupils with complex learning needs, autism (ASD), SEMH, PMLD, and associated communication and sensory needs. This is a highly rewarding role where you will be delivering tailored, individualized learning pathways, helping pupils access education in a meaningful, structured, and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver differentiated lessons for pupils with complex SEN needs
  • Teach across a range of abilities, often within small groups or 1:1 provision
  • Adapt curriculum delivery to meet EHCP targets and individual learning profiles
  • Manage and implement positive behaviour strategies (PRICE / Team Teach desirable)
  • Support pupils with communication needs (PECS, Makaton, visual supports)
  • Work closely with TAs, therapists, SENCOs and wider multidisciplinary teams
  • Create a safe, engaging and emotionally supportive classroom environment
  • Track progress and contribute to reviews, reports and EHCP outcomes
Requirements
  • QTS or equivalent teaching qualification (essential)
  • Experience working with SEN, ideally within complex needs, SEMH or ASD settings
  • Strong understanding of differentiated learning and inclusive practice
  • Confident managing challenging behaviour in a calm and consistent way
  • Patient, resilient and highly adaptable approach
  • Enhanced DBS (on Update Service) required prior to starting
