Mental Health Nurse

Priory Hospital North London has an opportunity for a Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our team. This role is not suitable for newly qualified nurses or preceptorship nurses. The position is full‑time (37.5 hours per week) and involves three 11.5‑hour shifts.

Priory Hospital North London is a specialist centre for the treatment of a range of mental health difficulties, including addictions, depression, anxiety, stress and obsessive‑compulsive disorder (OCD). We also offer private autism assessments for adults and are conveniently located in Southgate with excellent public transport links.

As a Mental Health Nurse, you will work as an effective member of the Multi-Disciplinary team, promote the best interests of clients and carers, and ensure that prescribed nursing care is implemented effectively.

you’ll bring to the role

Essential for the role

  • A qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with 6-12 months of post-registration experience, active NMC registration and completion of a preceptorship programme.
  • Strong understanding of NMC guidelines, requirements and professional standards, and evidence of ongoing post-registration continuing professional development.
  • Positive attitude, commitment to change, service improvement, and high-quality care.
  • Ability to adopt flexible and innovative approaches to practice.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
