Job Description:

Our client is seeking a board-certified or residency-trained Veterinary Neurologist to play a pivotal role in launching a new specialist neurology service within an established emergency and referral facility. With the department scheduled to open in 2027, this opportunity offers an exciting combination of specialist clinical practice, service development and professional autonomy. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to establish a comprehensive neurological caseload, influence departmental planning and deliver advanced care to patients presenting with complex neurological conditions.

Working within a multidisciplinary clinical environment, the position provides access to experienced emergency veterinarians and specialists in surgery, internal medicine, diagnostic imaging, cardiology and other disciplines. Plans for a dedicated neurology suite and enhanced clinical facilities will provide a strong foundation for developing diagnostic and treatment services. The role also encourages participation in clinical education, offering opportunities to guide interns, residents and veterinary technicians while helping establish effective protocols and high standards of neurological patient care.

Package:
  • Additional production-based earning opportunities alongside an attractive specialist base salary and signing incentive.
  • Opportunity to establish a new veterinary neurology department and influence its clinical direction ahead of the planned 2027 launch.
  • Comprehensive medical and dental insurance benefits supporting personal healthcare requirements.
  • Access to advanced clinical facilities with plans for a dedicated neurology suite and specialist diagnostic resources.
  • Employer-supported 401(k) retirement savings arrangements for long-term financial security.
  • Generous continuing education allowances to support specialist training, conferences and professional development.
  • Paid annual leave provisions designed to encourage a sustainable balance between clinical work and personal commitments.
  • Professional autonomy in developing neurological treatment protocols, referral pathways and departmental procedures.
  • Collaboration with established specialists and experienced emergency clinicians in managing complex neurological presentations.
  • Opportunities to mentor developing veterinary professionals while contributing to an expanding specialist service.
