Family-owned dealership for 36 years and we are seeking an experienced Service Director/Manager to oversee the daily operations of the Service Department. The Service Manager is responsible for operations, employee supervision, customer satisfaction and profitability and growth of the department.
Responsibilities- Manage day-to-day operations of the service department
- Maintain Technician and Service Advisor proficiency
- Ensures that employees are always conducting themselves in a professional manner
- Oversee the technician working on customers’ vehicle including their time management/efficiency, parts ordering and job completion times
- Provide guidance and support to Service Advisors on service procedures and customer interactions
- Provide and maintain a safe workplace and environment for employees and customers
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a professional manner
- Forecast goals and objectives for the department and strive to meet them
- Work with the Parts Manager to ensure a timely turnaround of parts needed for internal jobs
- Hires, trains, motivates and evaluates staff on a regular Basis
- Maintains staff schedule for all hours of operation
- Ensures Service Advisors are trained one on one with selling techniques
- Attend manager meetings and conduct service department meetings
- Oversee administration of warranty claims
- Maintain CSI at or above Company standards.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase service department profitability
- Collaborate with the sales team to promote service offerings and drive revenue
- Other duties to be determined by management
- Proven track record to grow the fixed operation business through excellent CSI, advertising, managing utilization and proficiency of the shop
- Ensuring customer approval for all work
- Strong knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
- Understands and complies with all Federal, State and Local regulations
