Sales and Customer Support Year-Round

US One-Design is seeking a knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and customer-focused Sales Representative to join our in-house team on Cape Cod. In this role, you will be the go-to expert for sailors, families, coaches, and yacht clubs looking to purchase new or used one-design dinghies, equipment, and accessories. You’ll work closely with our sister companies—
McLaughlin Boat Works and DevotiUSA
—to match customers with the best boats and gear for their needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for one-design boat sales inquiries
• Guide customers through the sales process—from initial consultation to delivery
• Provide detailed knowledge on Optis, ILCA, 420s, and other one-design dinghies
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to manage inventory and order fulfillment
• Maintain accurate records of leads, sales, and customer communications
• Follow up with past customers and build long-term client relationships
• Assist with parts and gear sales as needed
• Represent US One-Design at local regattas and events when required

Requirements:

• Strong background in dinghy sailing (Opti, ILCA, 420, or similar classes preferred)
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
• Team player with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
• Weekend availability during regatta season as needed
• Prior sales experience preferred, but not required
• Valid driver’s license

Bonus

Skills:

• Prior experience in one-design sailing and/or sailing instruction
• Familiarity with one-design dinghies, parts and gear
• Ability to tow and back trailers (helpful for regatta support)
