Administrator & Receptionist (The Panton Practice)
37.5 hours per week (Full time/Part time hours available)
Salary:
Up to £12.71 per hour
We are currently seeking capable, enthusiastic, and committed Practice Team administrators/receptionists to join our close-knit, hardworking, and friendly team. Whileprior experience with Systm One and the NHS is advantageous, it is not mandatory.
Job Overview: This role is dynamic and multifaceted,involving administrative support for clinical staff and the management ofpatient inquiries in various formats face to face, telephone, and through clinical systems. It demands an individual who can maintain composure duringbusy periods, possesses excellent communication skills, IT proficiency,multitasking abilities, and confidence in both independent and collaborative work within a supportive and flexible team environment.
Main duties of the jobKey Responsibilities:
Admin Duties
:
Assisting with patient registrations,workflow, coding of hospital and professional correspondence, andother related tasks.
Reception Duties: Managingpatient appointments, e-Consultations, and assigning workloads tothe appropriate clinician.
Prescription Duties
:
Processing prescriptions requests through various systems, Medication monitoring, Workflow of documents and general administration.
Telephone Duties
:
Handling phoneinquiries and queries in accordance with established protocols.
Problem Solving
:
Addressingissues and queries from patients, doctors, nurses, community staff, and other relevant teams.
Records Management
:
Organising and retrieving medical records, letters, and test results.
Computer Usage
:
Updating patient information on the computer system.
Premises Management
:
Ensuring the practice premises are ready for the day (opening and closing duties),maintaining tidiness in waiting areas and consulting rooms, and replenishingstationery supplies.

Administrative and Professional Duties:
Actively participating in practice team responsibilities and maintaining accurate records when requested.
Meeting Participation: Attending practice meetings and training sessions as needed.
Confidentiality: Respecting patient privacy and adhering to strict confidentiality policies and procedures regarding patient information, practice staff, and business-related data.

Person Specification Qualifications- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
- NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration
- Demonstrable Administrative and Reception experience
- Ability to work in a flexible way and respond to change
- Able to demonstrate advanced computer literacy / keyboard skills
- Demonstrable Administrative and Reception experience in the NHS
- -Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
- -Ability to communicate sensitive information.
- -Accuracy and attention to detail.
- -Excellent time management skills, ability to prioritise, delegate and
- work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- -Proactive with the ability to work under pressure on their own initiative and maintain confidentiality to the highest degree.

- -Exemplary standards of personal conduct and behaviour to ensure personal credibility.
