The Role
The People Administrator plays a vital role in supporting the delivery of an effective, engaging, and well‑organised people experience across the organisation. Working closely with the Head of Culture and the wider People Team, this role provides high‑quality administrative, coordination, and operational support across key people processes, colleague communications, and culture initiatives. This is a hands‑on role that helps ensure colleagues receive a positive, consistent, and well‑communicated experience throughout their journey with the organisation.
The People Administrator will also support front‑of‑house, supporting compliance with health and safety requirements. The role combines people administration, colleague communications, internal and social media communications, event coordination, recognition and service awards administration, and practical support for culture, engagement, and hub activities.

- Provide administrative support to the People Team, ensuring colleague records, people processes, and key information are maintained accurately and confidentially.
- Support the smooth day-to-day operation of the People function, assisting with a variety of administrative tasks, projects, and business initiatives.
- Coordinate and distribute colleague communications across internal platforms, ensuring messages are engaging, timely, and aligned with our values and culture.
- Create and manage content that promotes colleague engagement, celebrates success, and strengthens our shared ownership ethos.
- Take ownership of internal social media and communication channels, helping to keep colleagues connected and informed across the business.
- Support the planning and delivery of colleague engagement initiatives, wellbeing activities, recognition programmes, and cultural events.
- Coordinate long-service awards and other colleague recognition activities, ensuring achievements and milestones are celebrated.
- Manage the ordering and distribution of colleague resources, including uniforms, name badges, lanyards, welcome gifts, and recognition items.
- Act as a professional and welcoming first point of contact at our Hub, supporting visitors, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
- Assist with the day-to-day running of the Hub, including managing post, coordinating resources for nursery teams, and supporting health and safety requirements.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the business to deliver a positive and consistent colleague experience.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, communications, and ways of working, contributing to the continuous development of the People function and wider organisation.
- CIPD Level 3 (or willingness to work towards).
- Fire Warden training (completed or willingness to complete).
- Driving licence desirable.
- Relevant administration, HR, communications, marketing, or business qualifications desirable but not essential.
- Previous experience in an administrative, people, HR, or coordination role.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Confident written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create engaging and professional communications.
- Experience or confidence using social media, newsletters, email communications, and communication platforms.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proactive, supportive, and collaborative approach to work.
- Comfortable working with systems, databases, and communication platforms.
- Professional, friendly, and approachable manner when dealing with people and visitors.
- Hold (or be willing to obtain) a basic DBS
- Successfully complete background and reference checks.
