We are looking for a proactive, organised and people-focused Business Administrator to join our team at Bournemouth Airport on a maternity cover basis. In this varied role, you will take ownership of front-of-house activities and provide essential administrative support across the business, working closely with HR, Operations, Safety and other key departments. You will play an important part in supporting new starters, managing training and compliance records, coordinating suppliers and facilities, and ensuring day-to-day processes are completed accurately and efficiently.

Signature TECHNICAir, is a global provider of aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul specialising in small to mid‑size, turbine‑powered business aircraft, with locations throughout the United States and Europe. As a division of Signature Aviation, Signature TECHNICAir EMEA operates a full‑service, CAA & EASA certified Part 145 Repair Station at Bournemouth airport, in conjunction with strategically positioned mobile service units based at Farnborough and Luton airports that serve a wide range of capabilities across the UK and Europe.

What you’ll be doing
  • Manage front‑of‑house activities, including welcoming and supporting visitors to the facility.
  • Manage company correspondence and ensure communications are directed appropriately.
  • Coordinate office supplies, catering stock and the day‑to‑day administration of the facility.
  • Manage third‑party suppliers, contract renewals, quotations and cost‑saving opportunities.
  • Coordinate building and equipment servicing, inspections and related administration.
  • Manage airport s, security access and airside vehicle permits.
  • Monitor expiry and renewal dates for passes, permits, training, licences and other business‑critical documentation.
  • Organise travel and accommodation for team members when required.
  • Coordinate the administration of new starters, role changes and leavers, including systems, records, benefits and access arrangements.
  • Act as the main point of contact for new starters during onboarding and induction.
  • Provide confidential people‑related administration and co‑ordination support to HR.
  • Review and verify time bookings, complete labour reports and support payroll administration.
  • Coordinate training requirements, course bookings, agreements and training records.
  • Maintain company records, workflows and process guides to support compliance, consistency and efficiency.
What we’re looking for
  • Previous experience in a similar administrative role, ideally within aviation, engineering or another regulated environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines and changing priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Personable and approachable, with the ability to build rapport with team members, visitors, suppliers and external stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy when maintaining records, reports and business‑critical information.
  • Confident handling confidential and sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
  • Proactive and solutions‑focused, with strong problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills.
  • Commercially aware, with the confidence to obtain quotations, manage suppliers and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
  • Proficient in MS Office and comfortable learning and working with different business systems.
  • Self‑motivated, organised and able to work independently.
  • A collaborative team player with a professional, flexible and can‑do attitude.
  • Committed to providing excellent customer service, both internally and externally.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
