Job OverviewWe have an exciting opportunity for a ward clerk in Critical Care. The role requires an organised and highly motivated individual who can work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team, maintain confidentiality, demonstrate excellent typing/IT skills and communicate effectively.
Responsibilities- Welcome patients and visitors at the ward reception area.
- Answer questions and provide relevant information in a sensitive manner.
- Refer to qualified team members as necessary.
- Carry out clerical and administrative duties on behalf of the ward.
- Liaise with team members and other departments to support effective and efficient running of the Critical Care Unit.
- Basic keyboard skills.
- Experience working with members of the public.
- Clerical experience.
- Experience working in a healthcare organisation.
- Ability to work in a busy environment.
- Ability to prioritise the workload.
- Ability to demonstrate initiative.
