About the role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Admissions Officer to join the University’s central Admissions team within Academic Services. This role supports the delivery of an efficient and high-quality admissions service, helping to ensure that applications are processed accurately and within agreed timescales.

The Admissions Officer will be responsible for assessing and processing applications, maintaining accurate applicant records and supporting communication with applicants and academic departments throughout the admissions process. The role requires careful attention to detail and an understanding of admissions procedures to ensure that decisions are applied consistently and in line with University policies and sector regulations.

Working closely with colleagues across the Admissions team and with staff in academic departments and professional services, the post-holder will contribute to delivering a responsive and professional service to prospective students. This role is well suited to someone who enjoys working in a busy environment and takes pride in providing high-quality administrative support.

This position does not meet the eligibility requirements for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker Route within the UK Visa and Immigration service's Points Based System. About the department

The Admissions team is part of Academic Services and is responsible for processing and assessment of applications across undergraduate, postgraduate taught and postgraduate research programmes for both UK and international applicants.

Working closely with academic departments, professional services and external partners, the team ensures that applications are managed efficiently, fairly and in line with institutional policies and sector regulations. The department supports applicants throughout the admissions process, from application through to enrolment ready, providing a high-quality service and ensuring a positive experience for prospective students.

The Admissions team operates in a dynamic and collaborative environment, adapting to developments in the higher education sector. The work of the department is critical in enabling the University to attract and enrol talented students from a diverse range of backgrounds around the world.
