Bodyshop Cosmetic Repair Paint Technician to join the Snows Accident Repair Centre
, based in Bournemouth.

Your day

The Cosmetic Paint Technician is a member of the Cosmetic Operations team and reports to the Smart Operations Manager. As part of the off‑site team, you will handle refinish paint work for all vehicles at our Dealership sites, ensuring a high standard of repair from preparation to completion. Your work will be carried out in our state‑of‑the‑art Cosmetic facilities at Burrowmouth.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure correct paint repair is performed on damaged vehicles.
  • Select appropriate paint and perform correct preparation before painting.
  • Maintain the paint room and equipment, reporting defective items to management.
  • Follow job card instructions for paint re‑painter.
  • Use PPE and implement safety measures.
  • Supervise other team members as necessary.
  • Report problems to the SMART Ops Manager and liaise with other departments.
  • Manage workflow.
  • Carry out basic vehicle appraisals and costings.
  • Discuss repair requirements with Dealerships.
Qualifications
  • Relevant industry NVQ or City & Guilds accreditation.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturer‑approved accident repair centre.
  • Experience in all aspects of automotive paint re‑finishing and delivering a quality finish.
  • Commitment to working as part of a team.
  • Strong planning, organisation and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and accurate work quality.
  • Experience delivering a first‑class service to customers.
  • Full clean driving licence.
