Position Overview
Starting salary for this role is 30,518 (pro‑rata for part‑time colleagues). The position sits within a well‑defined pay band, offering clear progression as you grow your career are looking for a motivated and capable person to assist in our Local Land Charges Team, currently based at the BCP Civic Centre – Bournemouth – with the option to work remotely. The team predominantly works remotely from home, communicating and collaborating effectively using Microsoft Teams.
Responsibilities- Assist in the preparation, inputting, checking and dispatch of Local Authority searches.
- Handle payments and liaise with clients and other departments on queries as required.
- Support the Elections team during periods of increased workload.
- Communicate with solicitors and members of the public, primarily via telephone and email, in a friendly and efficient manner.
- Work to deadlines, manage a varied workload effectively, and use own initiative to prioritise and organise tasks.
- Strong IT skills, with daily use of Microsoft 365.
- Training will be provided for bespoke Local Land Charges systems, including Master Gov and various mapping systems.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, with initiative, and manage time effectively.
- Fast learner, able to complete tasks accurately and within required timescales.
The position is initially offered as maternity cover, with potential for further employment opportunities within Local Land Charges in the future.
