I'm currently working with a well-established civil engineering and groundworks contractor that's looking to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a business with a strong reputation in the residential infrastructure sector, delivering a wide range of groundworks and civil engineering packages for leading house builders across the South.
The RoleReporting into the Commercial Manager, you'll play a key role across both estimating and quantity surveying, supporting projects from tender stage through to final account.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing competitive estimates and tender submissions for residential groundworks projects
- Managing project costs, valuations and variations
- Producing cost plans, forecasts and commercial reports
- Supporting contract administration and ensuring contractual compliance
- Working closely with site, procurement and operational teams
- Assisting with the agreement of final accounts and project change
- Building strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders
We're looking for someone who has:
- At least 3 years' experience within quantity surveying
- Experience delivering groundworks or civil engineering projects
- Strong commercial awareness and excellent numerical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Experience using Bluebeam or similar take-off software would be advantageous
- A proactive approach and the ability to work effectively within a collaborative team
