Our client based in Bournemouth is a leading Construction Company offering a comprehensive service, successfully delivering a wide range of projects across all sectors. They undertake new build and refurbishment works for their clients by traditional, design & build and partnering procurement methods.

An exciting opportunity has now arisen for an enthusiastic, commercially minded Building Estimator to join their team.

THE ROLE OF ESTIMATOR:

Working in close conjunction with the Pre-Construction Manager and other estimators the successful candidate will be undertaking all aspects of pricing up enquiries.

In this role your duties would include:

Working alongside the Pre-Construction Manager and other Estimators to ensure a complete tender return.
Processing enquiries from small works up to multi million projects and ensuring these are returned on time and at the right price.
Using Estimating software to produce detailed estimates that can be used staff throughout the job.
Visiting potential clients, surveying work, and producing priced schedules so that clear concise documents are available once we win the work, ensuring you have an understanding of client needs / restrictions when visiting.
Being able to present tender bids for adjudication.
Producing RFIs from tender information for clients’ professional teams.

Are you an estimator with the following:

Experienced in the field of construction.
A HNC or above is desirable but not essential.
A strong communicator and team player.
Able to manage a busy workload and several tenders at once.
Be dynamic, innovative, and able to work on one’s own initiative.
A strong communicator and team player
Able to understand 2D and 3D drawings.
Good working knowledge of SMM7/NRM.
Knowledge of Causeway estimating software package and Microsoft Project (or similar programmes) would be desirable.
