Job overviewThe post holder will join 6 consultant neonatologists as the rota moves to 1 in 7. The neonatal unit at Royal Bournemouth Hospital (UHD) is part of the TV & Wessex Neonatal ODN and is designated as a Local Neonatal Unit (LNU) and caters to a population of c775,000 people across Dorset and provides neonatal service to about 4000 deliveries/year. There will be a planned contract of 10 programmed activities.
This hospital currently has a 2-tier rota with ANNPs and clinical fellows in tier 1 and consultants in tier 2.
We would specifically welcome application from candidates with a special interest in cardiology, POCUS and family integrated care/safeguarding.
