Salary: £13.68 - £16.12 per hour (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time

Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of young people? An exciting opportunity awaits you in Bournemouth as GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and empathetic individual to join a local school as a Behaviour Support Worker immediately.

About the Role

As a Behaviour Support Worker
, you will play a vital role in supporting students with behavioural needs, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities
  • Provide tailored support to students with behavioural, emotional, or social difficulties.
  • Work closely with teachers, TAs, and pastoral teams to implement effective behaviour management strategies.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
  • Encourage positive behaviour, resilience, and personal growth.
  • Monitor student progress and contribute to regular reviews and reports.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working with children or young people in an educational or support setting is essential.
  • A proactive, patient, and empathetic approach to behaviour management.
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people and promoting positive outcomes.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in behaviour support, youth work, or special educational needs are advantageous.
To work with GSL Education as a Behaviour Support Worker, you should:
  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
  • Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
Please be advised that this role requires strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safe recruitment checks including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
