We are seeking a passionate and resilient PE Teacher to join a specialist secondary setting supporting young people with SEMH and Autism.

This role is ideal for a teacher who understands the powerful role physical activity can play in regulation, confidence-building, and emotional wellbeing. You will deliver engaging and well-structured PE lessons up to GCSE/BTEC level, adapting your approach to meet a wide range of needs while promoting teamwork, resilience, and self-belief.

The Role

Teach PE up to GCSE/BTEC level using inclusive, flexible, and creative approaches
Use physical activity to support emotional regulation, confidence, and social development
Plan and deliver lessons that meet diverse emotional, social, and learning needs
Foster positive relationships and model healthy communication and behaviour
Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide consistent support
Create a safe, structured, and motivating learning environment

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

Experience working with SEN, particularly SEMH and/or Autism (essential)
Strong emotional, social, and communication skills
A resilient, reflective, and calm approach to behaviour
High levels of self-awareness and emotional intelligence
Flexibility and openness to change in a dynamic setting
The ability to think creatively and adapt activities to individual needs
A good sense of humour and the ability to build positive rapport

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
