About the Role:

As a Learning Support Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting teachers and students, helping to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience in education while making a difference in the lives of young learners in Bournemouth.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in delivering lessons and providing one-on-one support to students, especially those with learning difficulties or special needs.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment by managing classroom dynamics and encouraging good behaviour.
  • Prepare teaching materials and organise resources to enhance learning experiences.
  • Assist in assessing students’ progress and provide feedback to teachers and students.
  • Follow individual care and medical plans, administering medication and supporting personal care needs as required.
  • Foster student independence and utilise effective communication techniques.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Relevant experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
  • Understanding of special education needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient and empathetic approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
