Monday to Thursday 8am to 4pm and 8am to 3.30pm on Friday (37 hours) (1/2 hour unpaid lunch)
Term-time, inset days plus 2 weeks during school holidays
Grade 7 – Scale Points 23 - 26
Full Time Equivalent Salary £34,434 - £37,280
Actual salary is £30,859.44 - £33,409.92 (£14,35 - £15.56 per hour)
This is an exciting opportunity to join Kingsleigh Primary School in a new role of Attendance Lead working as an integral part of our safeguarding team. We want someone to act as a source of support and expertise on matters relating to safeguarding and to work closely with staff and families to promote positive attendance. The role will include working with the office team to ensure all children attend school regularly and robustly monitor attendance daily, weekly and termly.

Further InformationAs our Attendance Lead (supporting safeguarding), your work will include:
- Working closely with individuals or small groups to address attendance concerns that may hinder learning and wellbeing
- Recording, monitoring and reporting pupils’ levels of attendance and punctuality
- Working closely with staff to create shared approaches to attendance
- Building positive relationships with specific children and families to help improve attendance by creating shared approaches and effective interventions
- Leading attendance interventions to support children with emotionally based school non-attendance
- Ensure a culture of safeguarding, in which every member of staff acts in the best interest of the child
- Respond appropriately to disclosures or concerns relating to the wellbeing and attendance of a child
We are looking for someone who brings warmth, commitment and a genuine belief in our children.
You will have:
- Passion for helping every child be ‘Kingsleigh Great’
- Proven administrative experience, ideally within a school setting and good understanding of Arbor
- Experience working with children in a safeguarding capacity
- A solid understanding of attendance regulations and processes
- A solid understanding of safeguarding processes and procedures
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships
