English Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic English Teacher to join our secondary school on a contract basis. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and high-quality English lessons to KS3-KS4, fostering strong literacy, critical thinking, and communication skills.

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons aligned with the national curriculum

• Teach a range of English topics including literature, language, writing skills, and exam preparation

• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students

• Assess, record, and report on student progress in line with school policies

• Prepare students for internal and external examinations

• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment

• Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field

• Teaching qualification/certification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)

• Previous experience teaching English at secondary level preferred

• Strong classroom management skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to motivate and inspire students

• Commitment to safeguarding and student well being

• Experience preparing students for standardised exams (e.g., GCSE, IGCSE, A-Level or equivalent)

• Familiarity with digital learning tools and educational technology

• Experience working in a multicultural or diverse school environment
