PAYE Rate: £468.60 per day

Role Overview
 
Provide professional educational psychology support within the local authority setting
Contribute to assessment, intervention, and consultation services for children and young people
Support schools, settings, and partner agencies with psychological advice and guidance
Assist in promoting positive outcomes for children and young people with additional needs
Work as part of a wider multidisciplinary education and safeguarding service  

Key Responsibilities
 
Undertake psychological assessments of children and young people as required
Provide evidence-based recommendations and interventions to support learning and development
Contribute to statutory assessment processes, including EHCP-related work where applicable
Offer consultation and advice to schools, parents, and multi-agency professionals
Support casework relating to vulnerable children and those with additional needs
Produce clear, accurate, and timely professional reports
Contribute to planning and review meetings with education and care professionals  Skills, Knowledge & Experience
 
Recognised qualification in Educational Psychology (HCPC registration required)
Experience working as an Educational Psychologist within local authority or educational settings
Strong understanding of child development, learning needs, and psychological assessment tools

Experience of working with schools, families, and multi-agency teams
Ability to deliver clear written and verbal reports to a high professional standard
Strong consultation and communication skills
Ability to manage a complex caseload and meet deadlines
Knowledge of SEND legislation and statutory frameworks
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people  Additional Requirements
 
Commitment to professional standards and HCPC guidelines
Ability to work flexibly across a range of educational settings
Strong collaborative approach to multi-agency working
Ability to travel between sites if required
Commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion in service delivery
