About the Role

As an Art Teacher, you will deliver engaging and imaginative lessons that develop student's practical skills, creativity, and appreciation of visual culture. You will encourage experimentation across a variety of media and techniques, helping students build confidence in expressing their ideas visually.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Art lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Teach a range of disciplines including drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, and digital art
  • Develop student's creativity, technical skills, and critical understanding of art
  • Assess, track, and report on student progress
  • Support GCSE and A-Level Art & Design (where applicable)
  • Maintain a safe and inspiring studio environment
  • Contribute to exhibitions, displays, and extracurricular art clubs

About You

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Degree in Fine Art, Art & Design, or related subject (Preferred but not essential)
  • Strong portfolio and practical art skills
  • Passion for creative education and visual arts
  • Ability to motivate and support students of all abilities
  • Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
  • Willingness to contribute to wider school life and creative projects
