Overview

The Bishop of Winchester Academy is seeking to appoint a Wellbeing Lead to play a central role in supporting the wellbeing and mental health of our students. This unique role combines leading the Christian ethos of the academy with providing high-quality wellbeing and emotional support to enable all students to flourish.

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and compassionate professional who is able to work empathically, non-judge mentally and collaboratively to support students experiencing social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.

As Wellbeing Lead
, you will be welcomed into an experienced team of professionals:

Leading on student mental health and wellbeing
Providing a safe space and listening ear for students
Supporting students with SEMH needs to access the curriculum
Delivering and developing emotional literacy and wellbeing interventions
Supporting students experiencing anxiety or school refusal
Working closely with safeguarding, pastoral teams and external agencies
Leading CPD for staff on emotional literacy and wellbeing
Supporting transition for vulnerable students
