Senior Lecturer in Adult Nursing Maternity cover

About the Role

We seek to appoint a Senior Lecturer in Adult Nursing on a fixed‑term 1.0 FTE basis to cover a maternity vacancy within the School of Health and Care. The role offers the opportunity to work across both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, providing scope to develop excellence in academic practice.

• Teach and prepare undergraduate and postgraduate nursing programmes, including pre‑registration and CPD.
• Lead and contribute to academic curriculum development and quality improvement.
• Mentor students and staff and promote student‑centred learning.
• Engage in educational research and innovation to enhance practice.
• Collaborate with clinical and practice partners to integrate research, teaching and practice.
• Provide leadership and administrative support for the School of Health and Care.

• UK NHS (or equivalent) qualified registered nurse, with relevant clinical experience.
• Demonstrated experience in teaching at university level and evidence of curriculum development.
• Track record of innovation and leadership in professional practice.
• Strong research interest and published record in nursing or a related field.
• Evidence of commitment to inclusive and high‑quality student‑centred education.

Fixed‑term position until 7th June 2027. Consideration may also be given to secondments or fractional posts.
