Forget everything you think you know about teacher training. This is not a university course or unpaid work experience. It is a salaried position that pays you from September 2026 while you work towards both a PGCE and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Starting salary: £24,000 from day one. No student debt—just a salary while you train for one of the most rewarding careers.
Year One (September 2026 - August 2027) Role:Cover Supervisor
Join our Bournemouth school as a fully employed Cover Supervisor, gaining real classroom experience from your first day.
During your first year you will:- Work with students across a range of subjects and year groups.
- Attend weekly professional training.
- Receive one-to-one mentoring and coaching.
- Observe experienced teachers and develop your own teaching practice.
- Build the confidence and skills needed to progress into teacher training.
Trainee Teacher
- Continue earning while completing your Initial Teacher Training and achieving:
- PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education)
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
You’ll graduate with recognised teaching qualifications and two years of valuable school experience.
EligibilityApplicants must have:
- A UK bachelor's degree (or recognised international equivalent).
- GCSE English Language and Mathematics at Grade C/4 or above.
- Primary applicants also need GCSE Science at Grade C/4 or above.
- If you're missing these qualifications, equivalency testing and Subject Knowledge Enhancement courses may be available.
Please note:
We cannot offer visa sponsorship. You must already have the legal right to work in the UK for at least two years.
No classroom experience is required. We're looking for people who:

- Can communicate confidently.
- Are committed to completing the two-year programme.
