Health & Therapy Support Coach Full Time | Permanent | £25,573 to £26,372 per annum Help Students Thrive Are you passionate about supporting young people to overcome barriers and achieve their full potential? Bournemouth & Poole College is seeking a compassionate, proactive and dedicated Health & Therapy Support Coach to join our Student Experience – SEND team. In this rewarding role, you'll work directly with students who have a range of health, medical, sensory and communication needs, helping them access education, develop independence and achieve positive outcomes.

About the Role Working closely with the Student Health Practitioner and a range of internal and external professionals, you will help deliver health and therapy support that enables students to access learning and succeed during their time  responsibilities include:
Supporting students with identified health, medical, sensory and communication needs Assisting with the assessment of support requirements and contributing to person-centred support plans Reviewing care plans and risk assessments to ensure support remains effective and appropriate Delivering targeted interventions and monitoring student progress and outcomes Working collaboratively with teaching staff, support services and external agencies Providing guidance, advocacy and signposting to appropriate support services Maintaining accurate student records and preparing reports on caseload activity Promoting health, wellbeing and inclusion through events, activities and peer-support initiatives Supporting colleagues to implement strategies and recommendations from health and therapy professionals Upholding confidentiality, safeguarding and GDPR requirements at all times What We're Looking For The successful candidate will:
Have experience supporting individuals with additional support needs Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills Be able to build positive relationships with students, families, staff and external professionals Be organised and capable of managing a varied caseload Demonstrate a high level of professionalism and confidentiality Be able to advocate for students and support positive outcomes Have strong administrative and record-keeping skills Be resilient, empathetic and calm under pressure Be committed to inclusion, safeguarding and student wellbeing Work effectively both independently and as part of a wider team

Experience with in education, SEND, health, therapy or support services would be advantageous.
