KS3 Tutor

Help Young People Re-Engage with Learning

We're looking for a KS3 Tutor to support children and young people across the BCP area through personalised 1:1 tuition. Working on behalf of Local Authorities, you'll provide tailored educational support to learners in Key Stage 3 who require alternative provision. Many of the students we support have experienced barriers to education and benefit from a flexible, supportive approach that helps build confidence, improve engagement, and encourage academic progress.

This is a fantastic opportunity for education professionals who enjoy working closely with learners and adapting their approach to meet individual needs.

Pay Rate: £25-£30 per hour

Type: 1:1 Tuition

Requirements
  • Minimum 6 months' experience in an educational setting, including tutoring, teaching, teaching assistant, mentoring, learning support, or similar roles
  • Experience supporting secondary-aged learners
  • Strong knowledge of the KS3 curriculum
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging, personalised sessions
  • Experience supporting learners with SEND, EHCPs, or additional needs is desirable
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Patient, adaptable, and proactive approach
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
  • Driver preferred; alternatively, willingness to travel locally across the BCP area

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
  • ADHD
  • Anxiety and school avoidance
  • EHCPs and additional educational needs

    Your support will help students develop confidence, improve attainment, and make positive progress towards their educational goals.
