We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Estimator / Bid Engineer to join a dynamic Engineering and construction company based in England. This pivotal role involves preparing accurate bid proposals, assessing project costs, and coordinating tender submissions for a variety of building and equipment delivery projects, with a strong emphasis on mechanical sectors including piping, plant, HVAC, and building services.
The successful candidate will work closely with the sales and operations teams to shape competitive, compelling bids that meet client specifications and internal budget requirements. Your responsibilities will include analysing project specifications, obtaining and evaluating quotations from suppliers and subcontractors, and managing cost assessments throughout the project lifecycle.

Experience in Bid estimation or tendering within the building services, plant, piping, or HVAC sectors.
Strong understanding of mechanical and plumbing estimating, particularly for communal or domestic heat networks.
Proven ability to research and evaluate costs for materials, labour, transport, and equipment.
Experience in pricing subcontractor labour and preparing professional bid documents.
Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
Organised, deadline-driven, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Commercial awareness with an analytical approach to project costing and risk assessment.
