We’re working with a successful and growing business in Bournemouth that is looking to bring a talented Financial Accountant into its finance team. This is a newly created opportunity, giving you the chance to step into a role with genuine responsibility, visibility and room to develop. You’ll be part of a commercially minded finance team, working closely with senior stakeholders and getting involved across the wider business.

What will you be doing?

As Financial Accountant, you’ll have a broad remit covering both financial accounting and commercial finance, including:

Owning the month-end close and ensuring accurate and timely reporting
Preparing monthly management accounts and financial analysis
Balance sheet reconciliations and control account reviews
Supporting statutory accounts and year-end processes
Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow reporting
Working closely with auditors and external advisers
Identifying opportunities to improve processes and controls
Providing financial insight to operational and senior management
Supporting finance projects as the business continues to grow
There’s plenty of scope to make the role your own and take on additional responsibility as your experience develops.

Who are we looking for?

Newly qualified or finalist - ACA, ACCA or CIMA .
Strong technical accounting skills
Commercially minded, ambitious and keen to progress

Experience with financial reporting, month-end accounts and reconciliations,
