Collateral Management Associate

As a Collateral Management Associate in Agency Securities Finance you will manage intraday exposures from new lending activity and daily revaluations. Partnering with a wide network of internal and external stakeholders. Your work will cover multiple different process with deadlines to be met throughout your work-day in a fast paced and controls orientated environment.

Job responsibilities

• Process and settle daily collateral trades with accuracy and care.
• Calculate noncash and cash collateral exposures; partner with the borrower community to ensure correct margins are maintained.
• Manage cash flows including manual payment processing when needed.
• Perform daily reconciliations and report on intraday and endofday items.
• Resolve cash breaks and track items through to timely closure.
• Collaborate closely with trading desks triparty agents Treasury Services and counter parties to ensure smooth settlement.
• Handle a high volume of queries on products collateral settlement and reconciliation breaks communicating clearly and constructively.
• Build strong client relationships and partner with relationship managers to meet and manage client expectations.

Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills

• Capacity to think laterally and understand the big picture
• Experience in the financial industry preferably within an investment banking environment
• Technical understanding or securities products would be an advantage
