Overview
This is a Senior Care Assistant role at Avery Healthcare, a leading provider of luxury elderly care homes in the UK. The role involves supporting and working alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff.
Main dutiesYour focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be to monitor the wellbeing of each resident, be aware of any changes impacting care and care plans, ensure new needs are met, and amend written records to reflect variations. You will be involved in the person-centred care planning process by implementing, monitoring, and undertaking monthly evaluations. You will also support residents with their medication requirements, undertake staff supervisions and support staff development, and act as a key point of contact with residents, their relatives and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing.
Responsibilities- Monitor the wellbeing of each resident, and identify changes impacting care plans; update written records accordingly.
- Be involved in the person-centred care planning process, implementing and monitoring monthly evaluations.
- Support residents with their medication requirements.
- Undertake staff supervisions and support staff development where required.
- Act as a key point of contact for residents, relatives and visitors, and for health and social care professionals; ensure reasonable requests are acted upon and concerns or complaints are escalated.

Aboutyou / Qualifications
Our ideal candidate must:
- Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
- Have 2 years experience working in a similar care environment.
- Have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Have a positive attitude to supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
- Be responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.

Other requirements- Please note this role will require a DBS Disclosure check, the cost of which will be met by Avery Healthcare.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
