As a Home Care Assistant / Support Worker, you will provide high-quality, person-centred care to individuals in their own homes and other care settings. Your role will focus on helping clients maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life while ensuring their physical, emotional, and social wellbeing.

This position offers flexible working arrangements with full-time, part-time, temporary, and permanent opportunities available. It is ideal for caring individuals who enjoy helping others, building meaningful relationships, and contributing to their local community. Eligible candidates may also be considered for visa sponsorship following the successful completion of their probation period.

As a Home Care Assistant / Support Worker, your duties will include:

• Assisting clients with personal care, including washing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Supporting individuals with mobility and helping them move safely around their homes.
• Assisting with medication management in accordance with care plans and company procedures.
• Providing emotional support and companionship to promote wellbeing and independence.
• Preparing meals and supporting clients with nutrition and hydration needs.
• Completing household tasks such as light cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe living environment.
• Accurately documenting care activities using company IT systems and care records.
• Communicating effectively with clients, families, healthcare professionals, and colleagues.
• Supporting clients to attend appointments, social activities, and community events where required.
• Following health and safety guidelines and reporting concerns or safeguarding issues promptly.

• Compassionate, caring, and patient approach to supporting others.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic IT skills for record keeping and documentation.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to complete training and develop professionally.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends where required.

• Previous experience in home care, domiciliary care, support work, or care home environments.
• Understanding of health and social care practices.
• Valid UK driving licence and access to transport for client visits.
• Experience supporting elderly individuals or vulnerable adults.
• Familiarity with care planning and record management systems.
