Specialist Home Care Assistant – Bournemouth

Pay rate £13.70 per hour plus a £2.00 per hour Bank Holiday enhancement. Travel compensation £12.71 per hour plus 40p per mile. Full‑time, alternating weekends (every other weekend) with shift pattern 07:00‑14:00 & 16:00‑22:00.

This role is a mix of community and office based work and requires a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities
  • Completing quality needs assessments, producing relevant documentation, and reviewing outcomes weekly.
  • Assessing clients’ tailored reablement plans and risk assessments, reviewing and updating them daily and weekly.
  • Assist with signposting clients to services to support ongoing independence post‑reablement.
  • Provide personal care tasks (washing, dressing, bathing, shaving, hair washing, oral hygiene) and enable clients to undertake them independently where appropriate.
  • Support clients with daily living tasks such as domestic cleaning and shopping.
  • Assist clients with meal planning, preparation and cooking.
Training and Support
  • Ongoing training and development.
  • Support from a friendly, experienced team and colleagues.
  • Deliver person‑centred care that truly makes a difference.
  • Provide high‑quality support to enable individuals to remain independent.
  • Support our clients to build confidence and remain independent.
  • Key role in delivering good quality care the clients deserve.
  • Responsibility for the needs of clients, ensuring their dignity.
  • Provide personal hygiene, toileting and dressing assistance.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Previous experience in a care setting desirable but not required.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Flexible with working hours and ability to work every other weekend.
  • Strong attention to detail and reporting skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS check or be prepared to undertake one.
