Dietitian - Band 5

Position Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated dietitian to join our band 5 rotations to provide a service to a variety of inpatient and outpatient areas including respiratory, diabetes, surgical, care of the elderly, paediatrics and oncology.

If you enjoy working as part of a team and using your initiative this is the job for you. This is a wonderful opportunity to develop clinical and professional skills within a dynamic and supportive team. The post is suitable for newly qualified dietitians or band 5 dietitians looking for further experience.

Royal Bournemouth Hospital and/or Poole hospital

• Primarily work with inpatient patients across a variety of specialities; providing oral and enteral feeding.
• Opportunity for outpatient work in general dietetic clinics.
• Teach and train nurses, medical staff and deliver patient education sessions.
• Collaborate with senior dietitians for training and support.
• Engage in audit, develop resources and conduct quality improvement projects.
• Participate in student training for universities.

The department is committed to CPD and offers a wide range of in‑house training. You will be invited to regular professional update meetings and closely connected with colleagues across Dorset. The team runs a Dorset wide education and networking event twice yearly.
