Our dedicated multi-disciplinary therapy team delivers personalised therapeutic support to every student at Portfield School, using a range of evidence-based approaches to help them thrive.
We are looking for a skilled Counsellor to join our team on a part-time basis, working nine hours across two days a week, during term time. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in expanding and enhancing our therapeutic support, making a meaningful difference to the lives of our students.
This role will offer high-quality, evidence-based counselling that supports students wellbeing, using a Positive Behaviour Model to assess needs and deliver targeted interventions. We feel the best suited candidate will be something with a background working with those that are autistic and have additional needs.
A day in the life of a Counsellor would include:
- Contributing to the development of the counselling service
- Providing tailored and person centred speech counselling support to students
- Recording accurate case reports
- Promoting expertise and best practice through training, modelling and coaching colleagues
- Participating in self reflective practice and using this guide to continuous development
