Job overviewAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified and experienced HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist to join our team in the Immunology Department of our ISO
15189:2022 accredited laboratory at University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust. We provide diagnostic and monitoring services to patients across a wide geographical area and support our acute services across both the Royal Bournemouth Hospital and Poole General Hospital within the Trust.

The One Dorset Pathology service unites Dorset County Hospital, Poole Hospital, and The Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals to deliver a high-quality, efficient, and consistent service. It is part of the national ‘S6’ pathology network, alongside Hampshire Hospitals, Isle of Wight, Portsmouth, Salisbury, and Southampton.

Main duties of the job The successful applicant will:- Be required to act in a scientific role in the analysis of blood, body fluids, tissues and cells using specialised laboratory equipment to determine the presence or absence of disease, enabling diagnosis and also to monitor the effectiveness of treatment.
