As a Functional Assessor, you'll assess how an individual's health conditions or disabilities affect their daily living, mobility and ability to work, depending on whether you're carrying out PIP or WCA assessments.

No nights. No weekends. No bank holidays. No hands-on care.

The Role:

You'll carry out structured assessments using a combination of telephone, video and face-to-face consultations.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Conducting detailed PIP and/or WCA assessments

* Taking comprehensive clinical histories using structured questioning

* Exploring the impact of physical, mental and cognitive health conditions

* Reviewing medical evidence and supporting information

* Applying clinical reasoning and professional judgement

* Assessing functional ability rather than diagnosing or treating

* Producing clear, accurate and evidence-based reports

* Managing your own caseload while meeting quality standards and deadlines

The role is about gathering evidence, applying your clinical expertise and producing objective reports. You won't be providing treatment, prescribing medication or delivering hands-on care.

What We're Looking For:

We're looking for fully registered healthcare professionals with:

* Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Paramedic or Pharmacy experience

* Active NMC, HCPC or GPhC registration

* Minimum 12 months' post-registration clinical experience

* Strong assessment and clinical reasoning skills

* Confident communication skills

* Good report-writing ability

* Strong IT and organisational skills

* The ability to analyse information and make evidence-based decisions

 * £40,000 increasing to £42,000 salary after 12 months (PIP)

 * £42,000 increasing to £43,000 after 12 months (WCA)

Full Training Provided

You don't need previous Functional Assessor experience.

You'll receive structured, fully paid training to help you transfer your existing clinical experience into an assessment-focused role, covering assessment methodology, evidence evaluation, clinical reasoning and report writing.
