Embark on a transformative journey as an Automation Tester our vision is clear –To design, develop, and execute testing strategies to validate functionality, performance, and user experience, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve defects, and continuously improve testing processes and methodologies, to ensure software quality and reliability.

To be successful as an Automation Tester, you should have experience with:

  • Good experience in software test automation with knowledge in building and maintaining scalable automation frameworks (e.g., Data-driven, Hybrid, POM, BDD with Cucumber), along with deep Java concepts (OOPs, collections, exception handling) for robust test script design

  • Good experience integrating automation suites into CI/CD pipelines (Git Lab, Jenkins, Azure Dev Ops), executing regression suites, and contributing to Agile/Scrum delivery through test case design, sprint execution, and defect lifecycle management.

  • Experience leveraging AI/LLMs (e.g., Copilot, Claude, Git Lab Duo) to accelerate test lifecycle—covering requirement-to-test case generation, BDD feature creation, Selenium script generation, self-healing automation, and intelligent reporting using Agentic AI-based frameworks.

Some other highly valued skills may include:

  • Exposure to banking/payments ecosystems such as payment processing, SWIFT/ISO messages, or financial transaction systems—enabling better understanding of business flows, regulations, and test scenarios.

  • Familiarity with Playwright for web test automation, including cross-browser testing, parallel execution, and modern automation practices

  • Knowledge of performance and scalability testing, including execution and analysis of load, stress, and endurance testing using tools like Load Runner, ensuring system stability under high-volume condition, along with hands‑on experience in API testing using tools such as Postman for validation and integration testing.

Please note this role is Bournemouth based so you will need to be located in the area for the opportunity.

Purpose of the role

To design, develop, and execute testing strategies to validate functionality, performance, and user experience, while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to identify and resolve defects, and continuously improve testing processes and methodologies, to ensure software quality and reliability.

Accountabilities
  • Development and implementation of comprehensive test plans and strategies to validate software functionality and ensure compliance with established quality standards.

  • Creation and execution automated test scripts, leveraging testing frameworks and tools to facilitate early detection of defects and quality issues. .

  • Collaboration with cross‑functional teams to analyse requirements, participate in design discussions, and contribute to the development of acceptance criteria, ensuring a thorough understanding of the software being tested.

  • Root cause analysis for identified defects, working closely with developers to provide detailed information and support defect resolution.

  • Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.

  • Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations, and actively contribute to the organization's technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
