DMS Lead

Role Description Join our Document Management Services (DMS) team as a DMS Lead, where you will play a vital role in leading a team of Smart Comms Engineers and shaping the delivery of customer communications across multiple channels. You will have the opportunity to influence business change, provide technical leadership, and drive best practice across document management solutions.

Location:

This role is be based in our Guildford or Bournemouth office, please note that this is a hybrid working role with the expectation that attend the office 2 days per week.

Salary Information Pay:
Circa 70,000 per year.

About You Lead, mentor and develop a team of Smart Comms Engineers, setting objectives and conducting regular performance reviews.

Collaborate with other DMS Leads to prioritise and deliver document changes aligned to business requirements and resource availability.

Manage competing demands and identify alternative delivery approaches where required.

Provide technical direction and expertise, ensuring solutions align with best practice standards.

Drive effective use of document management toolsets to meet business and customer needs.

Act as the Allianz UK business owner for Smart Comms, ensuring compliance with local and Group policies and standards.

Support wider change programmes by identifying and managing interdependencies across teams and projects.

Ensure document solutions are designed efficiently using shared assets, templates and datasets to support future development.

Work closely with stakeholders across the business to manage risks, issues and delivery priorities.

Champion continuous improvement within document development and fulfilment processes.

Essential Skills Experience leading and managing technical delivery teams.

Strong understanding of document management and customer communication solutions.

Knowledge of project management methodologies and the ability to select the most effective delivery approach.

Understanding of logic documents and technical specifications.

Knowledge of fulfilment methods, distribution channels and print formats.

Experience developing or managing document solutions using Smart Comms or similar platforms.

Ability to manage complex projects involving multiple delivery teams and stakeholders.

Strong stakeholder management, influencing and negotiation skills.

Experience managing conflicts, risks and issues within a delivery environment.

Knowledge of document architecture and the implications of document change across wider systems.

Understanding of insurance products and relevant regulatory requirements.

Experience delivering multi-channel communications including email, print, SMS and PDF solutions.

Desirable Skills Smart Comms  Document Template Author Certification or equivalent qualification.

Experience using tools such as Jira and Confluence.

Strong understanding of document governance, standards and best practice frameworks.

Experience acting as a technical subject matter expert within change programmes.

Knowledge of customer communication management platforms and technologies.

Experience driving process improvement and operational efficiency.

Responsible Artificial Intelligence usage.
